Lehigh Hills (Phase 2)
Lehigh Hills Phase 2 is a residential expansion within a 210‑acre community located in Upper Macungie Township, Pennsylvania, adjacent to Route 100 near Interstate 78. The phase contributed to the overall 254‑lot development with a mix of townhomes and single‑family detached dwellings arranged along new internal streets. Site features include preserved open‑space areas, grading that responds to existing topography, and coordinated utility and roadway infrastructure.
Pidcock served as land planner and civil engineer for the Lehigh Hills mixed‑use development, providing land planning, site/civil engineering design, traffic planning, and permitting for the residential phase and associated infrastructure. The work required coordination with adjacent retail, multifamily, and medical office components designed by others, aligning roadway networks, utilities, and access points across multiple parcels. Challenges included phased development sequencing and integration with existing Route 100 corridor traffic conditions. Pidcock advanced zoning and land development approvals through coordination with township and agency reviewers, supporting build-out of the residential community within the larger mixed‑use framework.
