Good Shepherd Rehabilitation – South Allentown Campus

Located in center city Allentown, Pennsylvania, the Good Shepherd – St. John’s Campus is a rehabilitation and medical campus occupying multiple reconfigured urban blocks. The project consolidated existing and new healthcare buildings within a connected pedestrian framework. Development included closure and realignment of city streets to form a unified site with controlled circulation. Accessible walkways, internal routes, and connections link treatment, residential care, and medical office facilities across the campus.

Pidcock provided architecture, land planning, site/civil engineering, traffic engineering, and permitting for the healthcare redevelopment project. Work addressed reconfiguration of three urban blocks, including street closures and realignments within a dense city grid. The team coordinated grading, utilities, and accessible pedestrian routes linking multiple facilities, while working closely with city departments, utility authorities, and regulatory agencies to obtain approvals for right-of-way modifications and infrastructure changes. These efforts resulted in a fully integrated campus.
