Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest Campus

Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest spans a 120‑acre medical campus in Salisbury Township and serves as the flagship hospital of Lehigh Valley Health Network. The campus includes major clinical facilities, specialty institutes, and nationally recognized centers of excellence, with expansions continuing to support its role as one of Pennsylvania’s highest‑ranked hospitals. It is home to advanced programs in orthopedics, pulmonology, and stroke care, and in 2012 became the first hospital in Pennsylvania to earn advanced certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The campus has grown significantly since its original development in 1970, evolving into a regional hub for high‑acuity care and medical innovation.

Pidcock has served as the civil engineering, land planning, traffic engineering, and permitting partner for the Salisbury Township hospital campus since the original site selection and design of the primary hospital in 1970. Services have extended through every major expansion, including the Kasych Pavilion and the Center for Advanced Health Care. Work was executed within a constrained, continuously operating medical campus, requiring phased grading, utility, and circulation improvements coordinated with on- and off-site parking and adjacent roadway upgrades. Long-standing familiarity with municipal and PennDOT approval processes enabled repeat entitlements and orderly campus growth across multiple decades.
