Valley Preferred Cycling Center
Located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, the Valley Preferred Cycling Center (previously known as the Lehigh County Velodrome) is an outdoor concrete velodrome used for competitive track cycling and training. The oval track features steeply banked turns and a continuous riding surface designed for high-speed racing and U.S. Olympic training. Adjacent grounds include a fitness park with paved multi-use loops for cycling, walking, and skating. The site incorporates wooded areas and wetlands, with trails and circulation routes aligned to existing topography.
Pidcock provided land planning, civil engineering, and permitting services for the Valley Preferred Cycling Center and fitness park to accommodate both competitive cycling operations and public recreational use. Scope included grading, drainage, and circulation design for the velodrome, paved loops, and trail connections. Work addressed sloped terrain, wetland areas, and stormwater management within a shared recreational and event venue. The team coordinated agency review and secured required approvals, integrating athletic facilities with site infrastructure and environmental constraints.
