Freemansburg Avenue Corridor

The Freemansburg Avenue Improvement Project reconstructed a heavily traveled segment of the corridor in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania, functioning as a primary east–west arterial within a developed suburban corridor. The project encompassed roadway and intersection upgrades within the public right‑of‑way, serving residential neighborhoods, commercial businesses, and emergency services. Work included reconfigured travel lanes, upgraded traffic control elements, drainage improvements, and corridor lighting.

Pidcock served as civil engineer of record, providing site/civil engineering design, traffic planning, and permitting services. The scope included roadway geometry development, intersection reconfiguration, access management, stormwater management design, and preparation of the PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. The work required coordination within an active arterial corridor constrained by existing utilities, adjacent development, and PennDOT design standards. Pidcock led agency coordination with PennDOT, Bethlehem Township, and utility owners to resolve review comments, secure approvals, and advance the project through permitting and construction documentation.
