Cedar Crest College

Cedar Crest College, founded in 1867, is a private women’s liberal arts campus set on 84 suburban acres in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The campus comprises academic buildings, residence halls, athletics facilities, and a connected roadway network organized across a landscaped site. The institution offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs within this built environment. Since the late 1950s, The Pidcock Company has been involved in successive campus land development, building expansions, and roadway improvements.

Pidcock’s role spans land planning, site/civil engineering, and traffic engineering across multiple campus projects, including the Administration Building, Cressman Library, and Da Vinci Science Center. Work addressed active-campus phasing, constrained infill sites, and integration with existing utilities and roadway networks. Coordination across disciplines aligned building expansions with circulation and stormwater systems. The effort resulted in phased approvals, updated campus infrastructure, and consistent site integration across varied project types.
